After 34 years in the Netherlands, Marie-Louise decided in 2023 that it was time to bring her big dream to life. A small, charming place to stay in Denmark. She chose a truly special, historic setting that radiates calm, where guests can unwind, breathe deeply, and enjoy life’s little moments.
We visited Solbjerggaard as a family with our dog, and indeed, there’s a very special atmosphere the moment you step into the 300-year-old half-timbered farmhouse. The holiday apartments exude luxury and relaxation, the backyard offers plenty of space for children to play, and in the courtyard, guests kick back and often strike up conversations with one another. And the breakfast served by Marie-Louise herself in the old living rooms, so warm, heartfelt, and cosy.
