Already on the short 12-minute ferry ride from Esbjerg to Fanø, you’ll spot Fanø Krogaard, beautifully located just by the ferry harbour.

I was genuinely curious about staying at an old inn. It’s not usually my go-to type of accommodation, but stepping inside felt like entering a space that was both elegant and deeply welcoming at the same time. There was a warmth and presence here that instantly made it easy to relax. It simply felt good to be there.

Beyond enjoying delicious meals and sleeping in cozy rooms, I absolutely cherished the view of the Vadehavet, with seals resting on the sandbanks just a few hundred metres away. A view you can enjoy from some of the rooms, from the restaurant, and from the beautiful orangery on the terrace. One of those places where you naturally linger a little longer.
