FEJØ: The island is perhaps best known for its many wonderful apple orchards, but I also want to highlight the small, unique, and cozy experiences Fejø has to offer. On a late-summer trip in the most beautiful sunshine (2024), when the high season was winding down but much was still open, Fejø truly won our hearts. We also quickly learned to wave at everyone we passed- on the island, it’s customary to greet everyone you see.

The small island lies in the Smålandsfarvandet north of Lolland and is home to around 450 residents-a wonderfully international community with 18 different nationalities.
