Paihia is a charming coastal town known for its stunning beaches, water activities, and laid-back vibe. There are plenty of cafes, shops, and accommodations to choose from here and the town would make for a great spot to schedule a rest day if you’re needing a break from the trail. Make sure to resupply here at Four Square or Woolworths as there are limited grocery stores for a while after you leave town. Waitangi Holiday Park is a good option to stay on the water or Centabay Lodge in town with camping at the Top 10 Holiday Park being a fair walk beyond the town.
