From a reviewer:
'A beautiful native forest walk with amazing huge old kauri trees. It's really nice to see kauris so close to whangarei! The whole walk is shaded by trees so it's perfect on hot sunny days.
Plenty of beautiful nature to see here, and the tracks are well maintained. There are lots of bridges to cross over with rivers running underneath.
There is a very high canopy bridge to walk over too which is really amazing and fun. A very easy walk for the whole family however if you want to see the waterfall, be prepared to walk up around 100 steps (unless you park at the other end close to the waterfall). Plenty of space at the carpark with security cameras and a public toilet. Very safe. Great spots for a picnic near the waterfall aswell.
The tracks goes all the way to tiki falls if your feeling committed'
