Beautiful turquoise waters! A locals gem
Winston's Cove is a hidden gem in Auckland, New Zealand that quickly became the locals favorite beach. With its crystal-clear water, rocky outcrops to explore, and a fun rope swing, it's the perfect spot for a family day out.
Whether you're swinging on the rope or just chilling by the water, Winston's Cove is a must-visit for a relaxed and enjoyable beach day.
Tip:
Google maps might play tricks on you, so head to 13 Gray Crescent and you'll see the way. (if in doubt zoom in on Google maps to get a visual of the entry off Gray Crescent). Once you head down the little bush walk, it'll open up to the beach 🫶
Not much sand at high tide, so it depends if you want to go at low tide for a sunbathe or hightide for a good swim and rope swing
The walk there can be slippery when wet so take caution
On a sunny day is the water colour pops! On an overcast day or after big currents/swell and rain, the water might look as blue. So it's best on a sunny day at high tide.
Note: the rope swing and tree branch might vanish one day! Please update us! As of November 2025, the swing is still up 😁
