Wildlife sanctuary with great reviews!

Kamo Wildlife Sanctuary, located near Kamo, Whangārei, New Zealand, is a privately owned zoo that houses a collection of two species of large cats. Formerly known as Zion Wildlife Gardens, it was featured in the TV series The Lion Man. After facing financial troubles and regulatory issues, the sanctuary underwent ownership changes and upgrades. Despite some setbacks, the sanctuary reopened to the public in December 2021 under new management. With a focus on caring for resident big cats, the sanctuary continues to provide a home for these majestic animals while navigating challenges and working towards a brighter future.
