Worth a visit! This rustic 1832 landmark, the nation's oldest store, is now a gift shop for antique-chic goods.

This iconic spot is located in Kerikeri, New Zealand is the country's oldest surviving stone building. Built between 1832 and 1836, it was originally a trading post for the Church Missionary Society but later served as a library, barracks, and even a boys' school. Now a museum, it showcases the history of the area and is a popular tourist attraction. Owned by Heritage New Zealand, the Stone Store underwent conservation work in the 1990s and continues to be a fascinating piece of New Zealand's past.
