'The Mercer loop track has some of the most beautiful views of Waitakere Ranges and Piha. The track itself is great, surface is mostly even with some trenches and holes to look out for. The hike down is stunning and hike back up is challenging but worth it. The view from the lookouts are very picturesque and the sound of the ocean, soothing and healing. Please do be careful though as some of the edges don’t have railing or trees to break a fall/slip. So if you’re thinking of bringing your kids, maybe don’t unless you’ll be carrying them. Great for a sunny day with family or friends, please don’t go alone or in the evening.'
