🌊 Where the city ends and the sea begins...
Just 25 minutes from central Auckland, there’s a waterfront loop hiding big views and local stories.
The Hobsonville Point Coastal Walkway is a 5 km trail that hugs the peninsula’s edge, with boardwalks, bridges, and breezy paths made for easy roaming. With spots like Harrier Point Park, the Old Wharf Lookout, Catalina Bay’s cafes, and even a historic rifle range, it's a really cool spot for a stroll.
Great for bikes, buggies, kids, and dogs on leashes 🐾
🚶 5km loop | Flat terrain | ~1–1.5 hrs
🚗 Parking: Catalina Bay or Buckley Ave
🚻 Toilets & cafés at Catalina Bay
🐕 Dogs are welcome on leash as there are some important bird breeding grounds along the walkway. There is an off-leash dog park at Te Onekiritea Point (Bomb Point).
It's wheelchair friendly! Some of the walkway is boardwalk, some footpath, and the rest is reasonably flat, graded gravel. There are disabled parking and toilets at Catalina Bay.
