It's a local hidden gem that is often missed when visiting the popular 'Omanawanui Track' further down in Whatipu because people simply don't know it's here!

This is another gem of the Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, Auckland. 🌿

There are options to take longer hikes from the beach or from Huia to get here. Plenty of walking options around the area. 🚶‍♂️

'Great lookout! We went on a weekday and there was no one at the Donald McLean carpark or where we parked (Karamatura carpark) and also no one on the lookout itself. If the sky is clear, you can even see Auckland and the sky tower far away which gives a "lost in the clouds" kind of vibe to the city. But that doesn't top up the view of the sea and mountains surrounding.'
