Local's Hidden Gem! 🌟

Enjoy a short, scenic walk down to Fisherman's Rock 🏞️, a fantastic rocky swimming spot, great for snorkeling with some good cliff jumping spots at high tide 🏝️. At low tide, you'll find some cool shallow caves to explore and little rockpools.

Don’t forget to check out Cove Kayaks (pinned 📍) for affordable kayak rentals 🚣‍♂️. It’s a perfect day out with the whanau 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦!

From a reviewer:

"A great hidden area for swimming (rock jumping) and snorkeling during mid to high tide. To access the site park at the end of Newton rd and follow the path to the coast. There are a lot of stairs and it’s worth bringing sturdy sole shoes to climb the rocks to get to the swimming area. It’s also a good idea to bring water shoes to get in and out of the water to avoid the oysters. This is not a beach so don’t expect a sandy area, it’s rugged with lots of rocks and tidal channels."
