Since 1938, Sant' Eustachio Il Caffè has been serving some of Rome's best coffee.

It's located in the Centro Storico, a two-minute walk from the Pantheon.

This family-owned cafe is the place if you're looking for terrific coffee and an old-school vibe. Locals love it, but so do the tourists! So be warned, it can get busy! The least crowded time is when it first opens in the morning.

Try the Aragostine! It's flaky, crunchy, and filled with luscious cream. It's supposed to look like a lobster tail; “aragosta” means lobster in Italian.

Paired with a cappuccino, it instantly became my favourite (and oh-s0 decedent) breakfast in Rome.

Sant' Eustachio Il Caffè is also a great souvenir spot; I love the bright yellow coffee cups and espresso pots. One or two might have come back with me in my suitcase.

HOURS: Sunday - Thursday, 7:30 am – 1:00 am, Friday 7:30 am – 1:30 am, Saturday 7:30 am – 2:00 am

LOCATION: Piazza di S. Eustachio, 82
