A unique artisan stay located in Inami, a small town in Toyama Prefecture known for its master woodcarving tradition. Part of the Bed and Craft series, TATEGU-YA offers guests the rare opportunity to stay in a beautifully renovated Japanese craftsman’s home while immersing themselves in traditional craftsmanship and local culture.

The name "TATEGU-YA" refers to a joiner or artisan who crafts wooden fittings such as sliding doors and shoji screens. This concept is reflected throughout the house—everything from the architecture to the interior details showcases the fine artistry of local tategu masters.

Guests can:
