The Minobusan Ropeway offers a scenic and efficient way to reach the summit of Mount Minobu (1,153m), providing breathtaking views and a serene experience. Starting next to the famous Kuonji Temple, the ropeway connects Kuonji Station at the base to Oku-no-In Station at the summit in just 7 minutes, making it an ideal choice for those who wish to bypass the challenging hike.

The mountain is also famous for being pet-friendly.

Access:

By Train and Bus:

1. Train to JR Minobu Station:

   • Take the JR Minobu Line to Minobu Station.

2. From Minobu Station to Ropeway Base (Kuonji Station):

   • Option 1: Take the bus bound for Minobusan. Then, either:

     • Take a share-ride taxi to Seishin Parking Lot stop (5 min).

     • Walk 15 minutes to the ropeway base.

   • Option 2: Take a taxi directly from Minobu Station to the ropeway base (15 min; approx. 2,000 yen).
