Banff’s most iconic teahouse?☕🏔️
Lake Agnes is the classic Lake Louise hike for most people that aren't here to climb summits, but still push themselves to get a good view and a reward haha. A steady climb through the forest, a quick peek at Mirror Lake on the way up (yes, it reflects the 'Big Beehive' peak like a mirror), then shortly after that, a little alpine lake tucked under big peaks - Lake Agnes.
The sugar on top is the Lake Agnes Tea House, where you can sit outside, soak in the view, and feel extremely good that your “snack break” required a real hike to earn it! The sunrise views from here by the way - top tier!

✅ TIPS FROM DEV, LINKS & SAFETY
This trail gets very busy in peak season. The cheat code is starting early and getting that sunrise while its peaceful!
Lake Louise area hikes (including the Lake Agnes zone and beyond) are exposed to avalanche hazard and are not recommended from mid October - mid June.
The tea house specifically states that they do have bottled water (cash only - remember), but there is no tap water pumps to refill at the tea house, so do not rely on refilling up there.
Lake Louise parking is paid, pricey, and BUSY. The parking lot is often full in peak season before 8am - even by 7am you will be short for parking spots sometimes. For more details on how to get here, be sure to check my Travel Tip section on: Lake Louise & Moraine - Parking & Shuttle Access.
