Dev’s favourite hike in the Lake Louise area🏞🔥

Mount St. Piran is hands-down my favourite hike in the direct Lake Louise area, and I’ve done it three times for a reason lol. You start at the lakeshore, grind up past Lake Agnes, then break away from most of the crowds as you start the main ascent to the peak (passing lots of marmots on the way lol). Summer is unreal, fall is even better, and the view from up top makes Lake Louise look absolutely ridiculous from above - just look at that electric blue colour!🩵

• Technical Notes: Mainly just a steep grind after the treeline. However, the very last stretch to the summit has a small section (minimal at best) scramble point.

✨ TRAIL HIGHLIGHTS - Why you should go

• The Lake Agnes Tea House

• Mount Victoria & Victoria Glacier

• Beautiful overhead view of Lake Louise

• Great sunrise payoff if you start early enough

• Unreal in both summer and fall (my favourite Lake Louise area hike - no contest)

• Mirror Lake and Lake Agnes on the way up. As well as the 'Little Beehive' lookout if you want to add that stretch to your trail like I typically do.

• 360° peak views at the summit. The peaks from left to right at the lookout would be Fairview, Haddo, Aberdeen, Lefroy, Victoria (and the Victoria Glacier). Also views of Mount Niblock, Whyte, the Devils Thumb, Big Beehive, Little Beehive, and so much more! Visually, my favourite looking peak is Lefroy... it looks so foreboding haha!

✅ TIPS FROM DEV, LINKS & SAFETY

• Lake Louise area hikes (including the Lake Agnes zone and beyond) are exposed to avalanche hazard and are not recommended from mid October - mid June.
