Hopkins Falls is 90 metres wide and can be observed from two lookout platforms, one from below (pictured here) and one directly above (wheelchair and pram accessible). Both are within a short walk from the car park with a few steps involved to get to the lower platform.
How to get there:
Access the short walk to the base of the waterfall from the car park just off Hopkins Falls Road (sealed). There's toilets, gas BBQs and picnic tables here. It's a 3 hour drive from Melbourne and a 15 minute drive from Warrnambool.
Elise's Tips:
I'd recommend walking down to base of the falls to take a closer look at the waterfall (as pictured). This waterfall is quite the spectacle after heavy rainfall, so much so that you can't even see the rock face that it spills over.
