Osaka Castle Park is a large green space surrounding Osaka Castle and is one of the city’s most famous spots for cherry blossoms in spring.
During sakura season, the park fills with soft pink blooms, making it a beautiful place for a walk, a picnic, or relaxed sightseeing.

The park itself is spacious and easy to explore on foot, with wide paths, moats, and open areas that feel surprisingly calm considering how central it is. Even if you don’t enter the castle, simply walking around the grounds is enjoyable and gives you a nice break from the city.

If you’re interested, you can also visit the reconstructed castle keep, which has a museum inside and an observation deck at the top offering views over Osaka. However, during cherry blossom season, it can get very busy, so arriving earlier in the day is recommended.

Osaka Castle Park is easy to access from several train stations, making it a convenient stop in any Osaka itinerary — especially in spring.

Tip: Visit during late March to early April for the best chance to see cherry blossoms, depending on the year.
