Fumotoppara Campground is hands down one of the best spots for viewing Mt. Fuji, especially if you want that iconic mountain backdrop while camping. However, it does get quite busy on weekends, so I highly recommend visiting on a weekday to enjoy a more peaceful experience.

The campsite is incredibly beginner-friendly, with shower booths, restaurants, and even a rental shop, so you don’t need to stress too much about preparation. The washrooms are well-maintained, and the whole setup makes it perfect for car camping—you can just load up your car and go.

One of the highlights for me is the variety of accommodation options. Whether you’re pitching your own tent or looking for a bit more comfort in a cabin or villa, the campground has you covered. The views of Mt. Fuji are simply stunning, and waking up to that sight is an experience you won’t forget.

Just keep in mind that reservations can be highly competitive, so it’s best to plan ahead. This place is ideal for both seasoned campers and those just looking for a relaxing getaway in nature.
