Ideal 7 Day Japan Itinerary

Start your adventure in Tokyo at Tokyo Station. It’s the central hub for getting around the city and is also an iconic spot to explore the local area. From here, you're only a short distance from a lot of Tokyo’s top attractions. It's also the perfect spot for day trips

Next, head over to Ginza, Tokyo’s luxury shopping district. Even if you're not shopping, it's worth walking around to take in the upscale vibe, the stunning architecture, and the lively atmosphere.

To get to Ginza, simply hop on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line for one stop (around 2 minutes).

From Ginza, head to Hie Shrine. It’s just a short 10-minute walk or a 2-minute ride on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line from Ginza Station to Hie Shrine Station, where you can enjoy this hidden gem.

Next, make your way to Tokyo Tower. From Hie Shrine, it’s about a 10-minute walk (around 700 meters) or a 2-minute ride on the Tokyo Metro Oedo Line from Akabanebashi Station to Onarimon Station. Once there, enjoy the iconic tower’s panoramic views of the city.

After soaking in Tokyo Tower’s views, take a 20-minute subway ride on the Oedo Line from Akabanebashi Station to Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building South Observatory in Shinjuku. This spot has another stunning view of the city and it's free to enter.

Once you're done exploring, head over to Shinjuku Golden-Gai. From the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, it’s only a 10-minute walk (around 750 meters). Golden-Gai is a lively area filled with tiny, unique bars, perfect for an evening drink and soaking in Tokyo’s nightlife.

Finally, after a fun night, head back to Mercure Hibiya Hotel. From Shinjuku Golden-Gai, take a 15-minute ride on the JR Chuo Line from Shinjuku Station to Tokyo Station (about 5 stops). The hotel is just a short walk from Tokyo Station, where you can relax and recharge for more adventures tomorrow.
