Classic North: Self-Drive (June-September)

This 6-day, self-drive itinerary will have you experience the very best of northern Albania at a pace that isn’t overwhelming. Best done from June through September, this route takes you from Tirana to Krujë, Shkodër, Theth, across to Valbonë, through Lake Koman, and finishes with one of Albania’s best farm-to-table dining experiences. I’ve personally done this route multiple times, and it’s still one of my favorite ways to experience the country.
