Holme Fen National Nature Reserve is one of those places we had never heard of and so arriving there made for a beautiful surprise.
This 675 acre site is home to vast birch woodlands, lakes and small paths that connect them. It is also the lowest land point in mainland UK sitting at 2.75 meters below sea level.
We recommend heading here for a woodland walk and if you're into bird watching then this is also a great option!
