What you’ll do

This itinerary is going to give you an authentic Yukon experience with a taste of wild Alaska. You will quickly realize just how big it is here so this will help you make the most out of your time. Southern Yukon is home to large mountains and clear lakes with no shortage of activities from hiking to whitewater rafting. This will include camping and stays however if you didn't want to camp you can find stays near all these areas. Enjoy!

Welcome to Whitehorse! Today is relaxed day to ease you into the Yukon and to get oriented with your surroundings. I would recommend stocking up on the food and gear you'll need for the first portion of your trip. The amenities will get sparse as you leave Whitehorse and food will be significantly more expensive and harder to find. Make sure you pick up bear spray!

If you were hoping to rent a paddle board, kayak or canoe you will want to do so today as well. For rentals, check out Up North, Yukan Canoe, Tatshenshini Expediting, and there's tons more! It's worth it as there are so many lakes to explore.
