This is one of the short walks I love to show off in Auckland!

This gorgeous Mercer Bay Loop starts high above Piha and takes you to Te Ahua headland, where you can explore the site of an important Māori pā (fortified village) with stunning views of the west coast.

The track is well maintained and offers Panoramic views almost the entire way.

  • Walk time: appox 1 hour for the loop

  • Elevation gain: approx 175m
