Hopetoun Falls is one of the most visited waterfalls in the Otways, and yeah, it’s stunning—but with peace and love, I reckon Beauchamp and Stevenson Falls are even more impressive. That said, if you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth the stop!

The waterfall itself is beautiful and super photogenic, tumbling down into a lush fern-lined valley. The walk down is easy enough, but the climb back up to the carpark will get the legs burning—so maybe don’t smash a massive feed beforehand.

But honestly, the real highlight for me was the drive in. Winding through towering trees and dense rainforest, it’s one of those roads where you just want to take it slow and soak it all in. Definitely make a day of it and explore a few of the other falls in the area.

Not pet-friendly (sadly, most waterfalls in the Otways aren’t), but a solid stop if you’re chasing waterfalls and don’t mind a bit of a trek!
