Trüebsee is a beautiful alpine lake located above Engelberg, surrounded by towering peaks and lush meadows. The calm, turquoise waters mirror the surrounding mountains, making it a perfect destination for a relaxed day in nature. The area is easily accessible via the Titlis-Express cable car, making it one of the most family-friendly alpine spots in central Switzerland.

From Trüebsee, you can also start the famous Four Lakes Hike (Vier-Seen-Wanderung), which continues toward Engstlensee, Tannensee, and Melchsee, one of the most scenic hiking routes in the Swiss Alps.

My personal tip: In summer, rent a rowing boat or stop for a picnic by the shore before continuing on the Four Lakes trail, it’s the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.
