The Handeckfallbrücke is a spectacular suspension bridge in the Gadmertal, near the starting point of the Triftbahn. Spanning across a deep gorge with the roaring Handeck waterfall below, the bridge offers a thrilling yet accessible experience for visitors of all ages. The contrast between the lush green valley, the white spray of the waterfall, and the rugged cliffs makes it a photographer’s dream.

You can reach the bridge directly from the Triftbahn lower station parking area, it’s just a few minutes’ walk and completely free to visit. The viewing platforms around the bridge give you incredible angles of the waterfall and the surrounding valley.

My personal tip: Don’t let foggy weather stop you, the bridge looks magical in mist, creating an almost mystical atmosphere with the roaring waterfall hidden behind drifting clouds. It’s one of those moments that feels straight out of a movie scene.
