How to Get There
Wah Kaba Falls is easily accessible by road, located just 15–20 minute drive from Sohra town center. It’s right off the main highway, making it a convenient stop on the way to or from Cherrapunji. There is a designated viewpoint along the road, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the falls and the vast canyon below. For those who want a closer look, a short uphill trek leads to the top of the waterfall. The trail is brief but can be slippery, especially during or after rain, so caution is advised.
What to Expect
Seasonal Flow: The waterfall is at its most powerful during the monsoon season (June to September), though it may slow down or dry up during the winter and dry months.
Viewpoints: There are railings and a small viewing area along the road where you can stop for photos without needing to hike.
Trekking Trail: A short but moderately steep trail leads closer to the top of the falls. Basic footwear with grip is recommended.
Safety: The cliffs are high and exposed, so stay behind barriers and avoid going too close to the edge during wet conditions.
