If you’re looking for a top-notch spot to camp down south, Contos Campground near Margaret River is an absolute ripper and easily one of our faves! It’s super affordable, so you don’t have to break the bank for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature.

The campground recently had a glow-up, so the facilities are all shiny and new, with proper loos, good water points, and even fire pits (as long as there’s no fire ban – check before you light up!). The sites are scattered amongst beautiful trees, giving it a bushy, tucked-away vibe that feels like a true escape.

You’ve got heaps of room to set up, whether you’re in a tent, camper trailer, or a swag, and the vibe is always relaxed and friendly. And it's a short drive away from Contos beach which is stunning!

The stargazing here is next-level, so don’t forget to pack a blanket and a hot uppa for some dreamy nights under the stars. Keep an eye out for kangaroos and native birds during the day – the wildlife here is unreal.
