Lawn Hill — or Boodjamulla National Park — is an absolute gem in outback QLD, but just a heads-up: it’s currently closed for flood recovery until 30 September 2025. So if it’s on your bucket list, keep an eye on park alerts for updates.(Parks and Forests)

When it’s open, the drive in is a bit of an adventure — mostly unsealed roads, but totally doable in a 2WD during the dry season if you take it easy. Just make sure to check road conditions before you go, as the area can be unpredictable.(Big World Small Pockets)

Camping inside the national park is a no-go for pets, but nearby spots like Adels Grove are pet-friendly and offer great facilities. It’s a beaut place to base yourself while exploring the area.(Tripadvisor)

Once the park reopens, you’ll be treated to stunning gorges, lush greenery, and that classic outback serenity. It’s well worth the wait — just plan ahead and be prepared for remote conditions.
