Cape Mentelle Beach is such a hidden gem, and getting there is an adventure in itself! You’ll need a 4WD, so make sure your ride is ready for the soft sand and a longer track, similar to the one to Kilcarnup Beach. Once you arrive, don’t park too close to the water – trust me, I made the rookie mistake and got super bogged! The tide can come in pretty quick, so be mindful of that.

Now, the real highlight here is the reef – it’s absolutely stunning, especially if you’ve got a drone to capture the crystal-clear waters and reef formations. It’s a top spot for diving, so bring your gear along if you’re keen for a dip.

As for pets, it’s probably best to leave your furry friends at home. The 4WD access, remote location, and reef protection make it a bit tricky for pets.
