Alright, Hall Bay near Point Drummond is hands-down one of the best-kept secret free camps I’ve ever stumbled across. I cannot believe nobody talks about this place—it’s insanely beautiful! Like, picture rugged cliffs, crystal-clear water, and total seclusion, and you’ve got Hall Bay. I camped with my friend Dani, and she's a local from this region and had never heard of this spot!

You can camp right on the cliff edge, with nothing but ocean views in front of you. The road in is a bit corrugated, but totally 2WD friendly! I dropped the pin right to where we camped because it was that good. And if you’re keen for a swim, there’s a ladder down to a little tucked-away beach—such a cool spot! If you wander further towards Point Drummond, you’ll find a stunning, more protected bay that’s perfect for a dip.

Now, a heads-up—there’s a local fox who’s clearly made this place home. He’s not shy and was definitely eyeing off our dinner (didn’t get too close, but still funny to see). Also, it can get windy out here, but we lucked out with low winds and honestly, I didn’t want to leave. Felt like I’d somehow teleported to the rugged coastline of the Greek Islands or something!

Pet-friendly? Probably best to keep them close—don’t want them chasing the local wildlife (or that sneaky fox). But honestly, if you’re exploring the Eyre Peninsula, this is an absolute must-stay!
