Nutgrove is a small, sheltered beach in Sandy Bay, about 10 mins from central Hobart. It’s a popular local spot for swimming, walking, and picnics, especially on calm days.

There’s a grassy park area with BBQs, shade, and a playground right next to the sand, so it’s a solid option for families or low-key afternoons.

The water is usually flat and clear, and there are toilets and change rooms nearby.
