This is a man-made lake just outside of Kununurra, and it’s massive, like you can’t see the other side in some spots!
You can get out on the water for a sunset cruise or rent a kayak / canoe / SUP, go fish barramundi, hike or MTB around the area.
Now, the lake does have a population of freshwater crocodiles, which are considered harmless to humans. But be croc aware because saltwater crocodiles have been found in the lake too (rarely though).
Always keep your distance from any crocodiles most freshwater croc incidents happen when people get too close.
There's also a great resort nearby with one of Australia's most iconic infinity pools which we LOVED.
It's for guests or you can get a day pass.
But we do 100% recommend staying there, check prices and availability here!
