This 2 week itinerary includes all of our favourite stops from Perth to Exmouth. The vast stretch of coastline makes for one epic road trip adventure, packed with incredible sights along the way and plenty of amazing photo opportunities. From vibrant pink salt lakes to picture perfect beaches, every stop along the way is unmissable.
The Ningaloo Reef is one of our favourite snorkelling spots in Australia, giving the Great Barrier Reef a run for its money. The best part? You can explore a lot of it right from the shore, so be sure to pack your snorkels and fins to be able to enjoy some of the country’s best snorkelling for free!
The drive from Perth to Exmouth takes roughly 13 hours if done in one go, but it’s best broken up into sections so you can truly enjoy the beauty of the coast at a slower pace.
When is the best time to visit Exmouth?
The best time to visit Exmouth is during the dry winter months, from May to September. Unlike the rest of Australia, winter here is warm, sunny, and perfect for road tripping. The water temperature stays pleasant for swimming, snorkelling, and surfing, and whale shark tours are in full swing during these months.
Low season runs from November to March, when the region is prone to cyclones and the weather is wet and humid.
