This itinerary is a condensed north-to-south road trip through Albania, designed to capture the country’s highlights in a shorter timeframe. Instead of covering everything, it focuses on a carefully selected route that still combines mountains, coastline and historic towns in one continuous journey.
It begins in the north with cultural and traditional stops before moving into the dramatic landscapes of Theth, where the scenery is raw, remote and defined by the Albanian Alps. From there, the route transitions south toward the coast, where the atmosphere gradually shifts into a lighter, more relaxed Mediterranean setting.
Along the Riviera - especially around Dhërmi and Sarandë - the focus turns to turquoise water, coastal drives, and beach landscapes, before continuing to the southern highlights.
The journey then moves inland again to places like Berat, bringing back a strong sense of history and architecture, before ending in Tirana.
