Trübsee (1,764 m) is an alpine lake above the village of Engelberg in the Canton of Nidwalden. It is a middle cable car station on the way to Titlis.

🚗 Arrive in Engelberg and follow the signs to the Titlis gondola station. Park your car here. It costs 5 CHF for the whole day.

🚠 Buy your ticket to Trübsee, the middle station on the way to Titlis. In 2023, it cost 26 CHF one way per person.

☕️ There is a large terrace where you can eat or drink something.

🥾 Walk around the lake. The loop is 3.3 km and takes around 1.5 hours. You can return to Engelberg the same way by gondola, or hike back down. We hiked down, and I loved it. It was an evening hike, and the atmosphere was amazing. The descent is about 6 km.
