The Rhine Falls in Switzerland is Europe's largest waterfall.

There are two parking spaces on each side of the river.

The first one is located near Laufen Castle. From here, you have direct access to the waterfall.

The second one is on the other side, where you can take a boat trip from that side.

We were there twice. The first time, we parked the car on the other side and walked to the castle, which is around 3.6 km.

The second time we parked by the castle, we bought a 5 CHF ticket to enter and see the waterfalls up close. First, you have to take a lift down, and there is an entrance where it is also possible to buy a ticket.

We visited the waterfalls in June, which was perfect. It wasn't that powerful in August.
