Talalpsee (1,086 m) is a mountain lake located above Filzbach in the Canton of Glarus.

🚗 Arrive by car to Filzbach. It takes about an hour from Zurich.

🅿️ Park your car here. Parking costs a maximum of 5 CHF.

🚡 Take a chairlift up to Habergschwänd. It costs 13 CHF per person one way. I fell in love with the chairlift and enjoyed every second of the ride. It would be more scenic on the way back, but we walked back down. I recommend doing this because it was a very pleasant walk, especially in the evening.

☕️🍺 On top, you can visit Berggasthaus Habergschwänd and have some beer, coffee, or food. There, you'll have a view overlooking Walensee.

🥾 Walk for about 30 minutes to reach the lake (1.5km).

Take as much time as you want. You can swim in the lake, have a picnic, or walk around the lake.

🥾 Walk for 1 hour back down to Filzbach: 2.5 km.
