This itinerary explores the popular Jungfrau Region near Interlaken.
For each day, I've included activities in one mountain area of the Jungfrau Region. I include options for different kinds of travellers: hikers, non-hikers, and families.
Some days include a lot of activities. If you want a more relaxed pace, spread the activities over multiple days.
I've ordered the days starting with my favorite. But just shuffle them around as you like.
We suggest choosing one mountain area for each day. But if you are short on time, you can squeeze two mountains into a day if you start by 8:30 and choose short activities on each mountain.
I think 3-5 days is the perfect amount of time in the Jungfrau Region. If you stay 7-10 days, I would add days from my Bernese Oberland itinerary.
Where to stay
For this itinerary, we suggest staying in Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, or Wengen. We also love Mürren and Gimmelwald, but they are less convenient because you have to take a cable car down the mountain to access other areas. Interlaken is convenient since it's close to a main transportation hub, but not quite as charming as the others.
