This is a 21 day itinerary sample for Vietnam. Personally, I would recommend planning a 24 day trip and adding an extra day in Hanoi, Ninh Binh & Hoi An to act as rest days. This is especially important when travelling with kids. You can use these days to do activities from the other days, laundry or simply spend a day by the pool.
